Business Development Manager – International Mail / Fulfillment (Chicago)



As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that you drive the development and growth of the global portfolio of services within the International Mail business for DM Fulfillment. This position reports to David Reinkemeyer, Vice President of Sales. The key responsibilities for the Business Development Manager for International Mail / Fulfillment are:

  • New Clients Development (Primary Responsibility)
    • Prospect, develop and secure new clients for DM Fulfillment
    • Build strong pipeline of new/unexplored opportunities in International and achieve targeted new business wins
    • Work with Marketing Department to build and execute campaigns to drive awareness and opportunities to expand DMF’s International Mail business
    • Work new prospect opportunities provided by Vice President of Sales
    • Attend industry events to network and promote DM Fulfillment
    • Coordinate, prepare and present proposals and plans per specifications
    • Negotiate contracts
    • Meet/exceed sales quotas
  • Existing Client Management
    • Assist team with Key Clients regarding relationship, strategy and proposals
    • Evaluate and analyze select clients performance compared to proposed specifications
    • Develop plans and solutions to program problems with Key Clients working in conjunction with Operations Team
    • Contribute to the development of new service offerings and new opportunities
    • Aid in negotiation of contractual changes based on performance or new opportunities for select clients
    • Contribute to the development of new International Mail service offerings
    • Create annual sales plan for top opportunities outlining current information, opportunity, goals and strategy to accomplish goals
  • Meet weekly with the VP of Sales to:
    • Review Sales Plan
    • Review Funnel
    • Review Action Items related to current customer development
  • Update and maintain accuracy of company CRM (Gold)
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Act as an Advisor to Operations Team regarding projects, tasks to be completed and timelines
  • Work in conjunction with DM Supply Chain Team on international carrier selection & partnering


  • Travel to prospects (domestic & international), clients, existing events and Distribution Centers required
  • Fulfillment Industry, Solution Sales, International Sales, International Mail experience highly preferred
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelorís degree is required
